NHS Criteria for Weight Loss Injections

Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) – NHS Cheshire and Merseyside
The criteria are strict and being rolled-out over the coming years. For the next 12 months this will be limited to the following:
- Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 kg/m² or more (or 37.5 kg/m² for people from minority ethnic family backgrounds)
AND
- Have at least four of the following long-term conditions:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Raised cholesterol
- Established cardiovascular disease (stroke, mini-strokes, Heart attack, Angina, Peripheral vascular disease)
- Obstructive sleep apnoea
