Information for Carers

Carers look after family, partners or friends in need of help because they have an illness, disability, mental health problem or are frail or elderly.

Carers can be of any age.

Carers have a right to ask for a carer’s assessment if they need help with, or a break, from caring.  Contact Social Services – 0151 647 7000

Wirral Information Resource for Equality and Disability provide a special Carers Helpline on 0151 670 0777 which is an invaluable first point of contact for any issues Carers may feel they need assistance or advice on.
