Patient Participation Group
In February 2011 we held our initial meeting of our Practice Patient Participation Group, which was set up with the objective of discussing and improving the experience and service for our patients at practice level. We also hope this Group will be an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between our patients and the practice.
Our Patient Participation Group usually meets with members of the Practice staff twice a year during the lunchtime to discuss issues relating to the practice.
However we realise that everyone leads busy lives and that there may be patients who wish to have some input to our Practice but are unable to give time to attending meetings. We therefore also have a Virtual Patient Participation Group alongside our “Actual” Group. We work with both Groups through the year but our work with our new Virtual Group is in the form of occasional email communication to seek views on issues that the practice is considering working on, our annual Patient Survey results and other issues that may improve the service for our patients at practice level.
